Brown bread textures

Posted by on Aug 6, 2011 in Food, ViewAll | 0 comments

Brown bread or wheat bread is not only healthy but it is also an interesting subject for textures. Fermentation process makes bread spongy. I thought of capturing this sponge like texture made of perforations found on bread slices for this post. Download these bread textures.

Have shot these images against white background so that you can easily create cutouts. At one point bread slices appeared to me like steps so I’ve included a shot of ‘brown bread staircase’ as well.

If you come up with some interesting design by using these textures / images, we would be happy to share it with the visitors of TextureTaddka.com along with a link to your website or blog.

Posted by on Jun 4, 2011 in Food, Fruits, Nature, ViewAll | 0 comments

Mango is one of the best seasonal fruits, known for its unique sweetness. Ripe mango has smooth texture with bright golden yellow color. Many delicacies can be prepared with raw and ripe mangoes in the season that begins in February and lasts till early June. Though preserved or canned mango pulp is available throughout the year, nothing can beat the taste of fresh seasonal mangoes. Most popular varieties of mango are Hapus, Rajapuri, Langda among others. Each of them has distinguished flavor.

It is probably the only fruit that can be consumed in its ripe or unripe form.  Delicious recipes that can be prepared with mangoes include Aamras [fresh mango pulp], Ambapoli [dried mango pulp layers, one of the best delicacies], Pickles, Muramba [a kind of mango jam without artificial preservatives], Chunda [Spicy mango jam], Raw mango chutney and many others. Amchur powder or dried raw mango can add tangy flavor to food, during off season. Mango can be mixed with ice-creams or various curries can be cooked with unripe mangoes, the list is endless. It’s known as the ‘king of fruits’ in India.
